We're ready to adopt!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know us! We are the Norlin family: Scott, Stefanie, Cece (5 years old) and our rescue dog, Bash. Here’s a little bit about us.LOVE & MARRIAGE
Scott and Stefanie met in 2011 on eHarmony online. We talked on the phone almost every day until meeting in person about a month later. We dated from 2011-2013, got engaged in the summer of 2013 and married the following year.WHY ADOPT?
We discussed adoption very early on. We started infertility treatments right after marrying and gave birth to our daughter Cece in 2017. After trying again without success, we made the decision to move forward with adoption as the next step in growing our family, and we're all pretty excited about it!OUR FAMILY
Family always comes first in our life. We see our parents and siblings often, and Cece enjoys playing with her cousins regularly.
Our faith is important to us. We attend a Lutheran church and practice prayer and devotional time as a regular part of family life at home. We try to model a life that’s rooted in love, grace, and forgiveness.THINGS WE ENJOY
Our family likes spending time together outside, being with friends, playing games, traveling when we’re able to and having family dance parties. We make it a point to balance our schedule so there’s time to have fun, but also to relax and unwind.WORK
We both work full-time but have jobs that often allow us flexible schedules. Scott works as a Logistics Supervisor in e-commerce, and Stefanie is a writer. We both feel it’s a positive thing for our children to see us working and doing something that we love — we believe it inspires a strong work-ethic and an attitude that they can do anything they put their minds to.HOME SWEET HOME
We live in a cute white bungalow with black shutters. We’re less than a quarter of a mile from the neighborhood elementary school, which has a great playground. We are also near the downtown area and can walk to several of our favorite restaurants and the city library. In the summer, we like to take advantage of our city parks and pools.A FEW MORE IMPORTANT THINGS...
- We're homestudy approved and ready to travel anywhere
- We're hoping for an open adoption but are ultimately open to the kind of relationship that works for everyone
- We're educated about adoption, the adoption triad and intersectionality in adoption
- We're excited to welcome any gender and race, and are committed to celebrating the individuality of our childrenThanks for getting to know our family a little better! If you’re open to meeting in person or know someone else who is, we would love to talk more and answer any questions you may have. With love,
Scott, Stefanie, Cece & Bash
